Vendor dies in accident at Toyota Boshoku

MANTACHIE – A vendor working at Toyota supplier Toyota Boshoku Mississippi in Itawamba County died in an accident Tuesday afternoon. The person killed was not identified.

The company in a press release gave few details, but said it was helping authorities with the investigation. It also said it would provide more information as it became available.

“First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the vendor involved,” the company said. “The health and safety of our team members and visitors is our top priority.”

TBMS provides seats, door panels and sun visors to Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi in Blue Springs, which produces the Corolla sedan.

TMBS employs about 250 workers. It is a subsidary of Toyota Boshoku America.
