Everybody knows that it’s a busy time of year for Santa Claus and his crew of elves at the North Pole. But what about after the holidays? When the toys have been delivered, cookies eaten and the workshop is quiet again, what does Santa do with his free time?
The Times recently asked Tremont’s kindergartners what they thought Santa did when things had settled down.

What does Santa Claus do after Christmas?

He drives his sled and checks on his elves. – Jared Turner

He goes to the beach. He likes to swim. – Abbie Leathers

He goes to a vacation tower. That’s where you go to spend the night. – Emily Petree

He goes to a party with the elves. They listen to Christmas music. – Ryan Allen

He goes to Hawaii because he likes to go swimming. – Samantha Wilson

He goes somewhere. To Walmart. – Emelee Lundy

He gets in his sleigh and drops of presents. Again. – Giara Jenkins

He works at his workshop. He likes making toys. – Michael McDonald

He goes to get some presents for all of the kids and puts them under the tree. Do you like my new outfit? See my new boots? My new boots are loud. [stomps several times] – Damien Baker

He comes to our house and eats cookies and drinks milk. It’s all presents, all the time. – Millie Denhof

He goes on a date with his girlfriend. They go to McDonald’s. He eats a cheeseburger. – Rigo Jimenez
